Three things about me:
1. I’m an altruist and believe helping others is the greatest work there is, whatever your gift may be.
2. I like solving very challenging problems. Building something that can change the world excites me.
3. I’m really good at building great teams of people who can change the world. Money doesn’t solely drive the best people out there – being part of something special does.
My experiences have taught me that passion and vision are necessary to complete anything challenging, but equally important are structure and accountability. Passion wakes you up in the morning on days when the world seems set on destroying what you’re building, and vision helps you to know where you’re going in your life. But structure helps you stay focused on solving the right problems in the right order, and accountability stops you from giving up.
At this point in my life I know what I’m great at and what I suck at. I’m an evangelist, a leader, a business developer, a relationship person, a hardware/software/platform guy, and a product developer/manager. I’m NOT a finance/accountant type, one who remembers all the details, an operations expert, or a policy wonk.
I’m a big personality and someone who feels all the feels. I’m a great story teller and a dreamer of better things. I look for and love the best in everyone I meet, but I’m quick to cut toxic people out of my life.
I believe in the concept of Conscious Leadership – that every experience in life is a lesson and when you can remove the emotion of the moment you see how you can grow from here.
I live just outside Atlanta, GA with my beautiful wife and two brilliant sons. When I’m not out trying to make the word a better place, I’m trying to make myself a better person through ultra-distance sports like Ironman triathlons, century bike rides, and marathons.
I love coaching, mentoring, and learning from people in every phase of their lives and careers. Email me and let me know how I can be of service to you.
